The house is located on the top of the hill , in a wide garden of 3000 M2 overlooking the sea with a wonderful view allover the islands of Kalymnos ,Pserimos till the turkish coast of Bodrum . The area is quiet and recommanded for families.From May till October, you are allowed to use the swimming pools of the hotels nearby. The living room (41,50m2) a dining-area, a kitchenette equiped with a 4electric cookers, an oven, a fridge with a freezer, a coffee maker, a toaster , an electric kettle, a dishwasher and a washing-machine ; in the part of the sitting room, there are 2 sofas . Radio-CD, TV (greek channels) and a DVD player. 1 bedroom with a doublebed (12 M2) has the seaview.1 bedroom with twin beds (12 M2) has the hillview. The seperate bathroom/WC is equiped with a hair-dryer fixed on the wall.2 bedrooms with twin beds (11 M2) are equiped with their private bathrooms.

From May till October, you are allowed to use the swimming pools of the hotels nearby. The construction is new (built in the year 2007) and of good quality : full isolated, double window-panes . The air condition is not necessary. During winter and for-season if necessary all the rooms are equiped with an individual electric heating. The water is heated by sun energy and electricity if necessary. Towels are provided on every 2 days and sheets once the week.. Towels for the beach are not provided. Cleaning service for the departure day is on request : about 60€. Special welcome by the owners : fruit juices , bottles of mineralwater, marmelade,coffee, tea, chocolate and everything is ready for the first breakfast for the next day. There is also a booklet with suggestions of itinerairies to do on the island and also on the other islands around. A rental car is required. The owners Blandine & Leonidas invite their guests for a welcome dinner with greek mezzes.

Quiet hillside house with spectacular view of the Aegean. 3 bedrooms each with shower. Sleeps 6.
Villa Primavera is a simple but tasteful traditional Greek house in Assomatos, Kos, 1,000 ft above the sea in a very quiet and secluded location away from the crowds. It has 3 unconnected twin bedrooms (each with ensuite shower room) kitchen, living/dining room and 2 terraces. All rooms have terracotta tiled floors, and the bedrooms large fitted wardrobes and wooden beamed ceilings. In front is a large grass area beyond which the hill drops away allowing a spectacular 120 degree view from the house of the sea, Turkey and nearby islands. The house is situated beyond the end of the road. Assomatos is a quiet traditional village with real Greek life and a centuries old church. In the area surrounding the house are hens, goats, birds, butterflies, trees producing wonderful figs and wild fennel. In the evenings there is a perfect view from the terrace of amazing sunsets followed by the gentle emergence in the dusk of the star-like lights of Turkey, and Pserimos and Kalymnos islands.

Several local houses are owned by other Europeans who love the atmosphere and view. Behind the village are pine forests with many walks offering natural beauty and wonderful views. Nearby Zia is a popular tourist destination, with many shops selling local produce and gifts, and about 10 restaurants. Oromedon, where Bill Clinton ate in 2003, is excellent. The hill villages (the subject of preservation orders) and surrounding area have classic Greek scenery and atmosphere. Further away are places like Tam Tam (25 minutes away), a laid back bar and restaurant set amid palm trees overlooking a beach. It plays cool music and serves great food to a sophisticated crowd. We can recommend other such locations, and quiet beaches, unseen by mass market tourists, where you can experience the real Kos and simply relax. Kos town, with its beautiful harbour, Crusader fortress, ancient ruins and many restaurants and bars, is 20 minutes away, as are the ruins of the Asklepion hospital (C3rd BC.)

The kitchen terrace, around the large dinning table, is an ideal location for quiet lunches under a large spoked parasol, and for dinners in the warmer months. We have a full range of crockery, glasses and cutlery. There are many supermarkets within 15 minutes drive of the house with a wide range of quality food, drink and other products which may be needed for an enjoyable self catering holiday. In June our plum tree provides pleasant fruit, and in late July till late September you can literally feast on the varied, delicious local wild figs. There is an iron but no dedicated ironing board. We have 4 sun loungers which can be placed on the grass area under a mulberry tree for shade or in the open, exposed to the sun. The front of the grass area is an inspiring position for lunch, given its entrancing 180 degree view of the plains below and the sea.

Kos is of great historical importance and interest. Apart from the famous Asklepion Hospital, where Hippocrates taught, there are many archaeological sites in the main town containing ruins and mosaics. Fishing boats and luxury yachts line the picturesque harbour, which is bordered by a C15th Crusader fortress. The market square boasts a museum. A minaret and Italianate buildings reflect the Turkish and Italian occupations. Tigaki, its long white sandy beach and restaurants, are 12 minutes away by car. Abundant spring water means that the island is unusually verdant. Known as the Market Garden of the Aegean, it produces high quality fruit and vegetables, and now has several vineyards. Two of them are on the slopes below the villages. You will need to hire a car or scooters. These can be rented at Tigaki. Cars can also be rented online for collection at the airport. There are direct flights from London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as many other European airports.

The summerhouse is located on a hill over viewing the islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos. The region is very quiet. The long and sandy beach is only 300 meters away. The nearest Taverna can be found at the Hotel Horizon Beach Resort (only for lunch) and Tam Tam Beach. Shops are available in Mastihari Village at 2 kilometres. A bus stop in 200 meters distance is available for you. Watersports and Tennis at the Hotel Horizon Beach Resort, horse riding at 8Km and diving from Kos Harbour. Further information for our guests: Cleaning service on the departure day is available on request for 30€:. A cultural booklet has been realised. There is also a booklet with suggestions of itineraries to do on the island and also on the other islands around. The owners invite their guests for a welcome greek meal. By a late arrival, every thing is ready for your first breakfast on the next morning. The football worldcup 2010 will be transmitted on big screens in coffeebars in the village and also on the terrace of the ‘Blue bar’ (250M from Villa Kos).

Sports at Villa Kos: Water sport activities (windsurf, catamaran and kitesurf) and tennis are available at the Horizon Beach Resort . Diving is also possible: departure is conducted from the port of Kos. A horse riding centre can be found in Amaniou (8 kilometres). Diving from Kos harbour.

Excursions on Kos island and around: The island is very green, has no problem of water, and is well ventilated. The city of Kos is a real archaeological area till the Asclepeion site. Diversified landscapes from the seaside to the mountain of Dikeos (846 meters) from the long sand beaches of Kefalos to the very wild end part of the island (Aghios Ioannis & Theologos) are nice excursions for every day. Escape to the other islands of Kalymnos (island of the spongers), Nyssiros (island of the volcano), Simi (with its neo-classical houses), Bodrum (the little St Tropez of the Turkish coast). Rhodos and Patmos can be reached by high speed catamarans in 2 hours of voyage.

2 bedroom stone cottage set in gardens (98m2). The Stone Cottage is a traditional Greek house which has been renovated over the last 3 years. 2010 is the first year of renting. It is situated 10 minutes (by car) to Kos Town and 2 km to the nearest resort of Tigaki. Which has one of the best sandy beaches on the island. There are 4 adult and 2 children’s bicycles available for use (free of charge). The cottage comprises of 3 very large rooms. Room 1 is the kitchen and sitting room area together (with fireplace). Room 2 has a double bed and a settee which can be opened to another double bed. Room 3 has two single beds. There is a large toilet and bath (with shower). The house is fully insulated with double window panes. Hot water is supplied by solar system. The view from the front of the cottage is looking over the owners vineyard to the Aegean sea, with the islands of Pserimos and Turkey in the distance. The owners live 80m away and are available for any help you may need.

The Stone Cottage is situated 10 minutes from Kos Town ( by car) in the countryside area of Messaria and 2km from the nearest resort of Tigaki. Tigaki has one of the best sandy beaches on the island and offers a wide range of water sports. There are two large supermarkets within walking distance. There is a bus service which passes from the bottom of the road to Kos Town to see the many historical sites. Or you can go in the other direction to the other villages on the island. The view from the front of the property is looking over the owner’s vineyard to the Aegean Sea with Kalymnos, Pserimos and Turkey in the distance. The view to the back is of Mount Dikeos (the only mountain on the island) which is 830 m. There is an abundance of grapes and figs available from June onwards in the garden. The owner’s lives 80 metres from the property and are available for any help you may need.

Notes: As we have our own children there toys available. There is also a tree-house and swing in the garden. Beach towels are not supplied. Bed linen is changed 1 time a week and towels 2 times a week. The cottage can sleep a total of 8 but if there are more than 6 people there will be an additional charge for the towels and bed linen. Car rental can be arranged for you before arrival if necessary.
